Sweet, sweet summertime. In Georgia, June is the start of blueberry picking season. We are here with a great list of places in GA where you can go pick your own blueberries. Be sure to visit each site for specific dates and protocols.
Southern Belle Farms
First up is a fan favorite! Southern Belle Farms is located south of Atlanta in McDonough, GA and is just a quick trip for those in Cobb. Southern Belle is best known for its strawberry picking, they also have u-pick blueberries. Their 2-acre blueberry patch features different varieties of blueberries and is a great experience for the entire family. While they haven’t announced their blueberry dates for 2021, keep an eye on their website for updated information.
The Blueberry Garden
This blueberry patch located in Cumming, GA offers u-pick blueberries, typically starting in mid-June. You can subscribe to their newsletter for updates. Once they open for the picking season, please note they are always closed on Sunday’s. The Blueberry Garden also offers concessions while you’re there. They offer blueberry lemonade, fresh pork rinds, kettle corn and more. Credit cards are accepted.
Cool Springs Blueberry Farm
Cool Sprints Blueberry Farms is a 5-acre farm located in Gainesville, GA. You can enjoy a full day on the farm. Pack a lunch and have a picnic while enjoying the sites and sounds of the farm. Stay up to date on their website – they offer many events that is fun for the whole family.
Fleeman’s U-Pick Farm
Located between Atlanta and Athens, head to Winder, GA and find Fleeman’s U-Pick Blueberries. Fleeman’s offers both u-pick and pre-picked blueberries during the summer months (typically starting in late June). Blueberry picking season is quick, usually lasting 4-6 weeks, so always make sure you call or visit their website before heading out to make sure they have plenty of blueberries for you to pick.
DJ’s U-Pick Blueberries
Last, but not least, I’ve found DJ’s U-Pick Blueberry Farm located in Lawrenceville, GA. When picking season begins, they’re open Monday – Saturday starting at 8:00 a.m. The farm will close depending on crop. You can find them on Facebook for more information. The blueberry season is typically June/July.

Heading into summer, there are so many great things to do, but you must add blueberry picking to your list. From U-Pick to fresh pre-picked options, these farms will definitely not disappoint.
