It’s pretty incredible how much Cobb has to offer! I put together this list of some of the best local tourist attractions you need to visit — even if you’ve lived here for decades:
Kennesaw National Battlefield Park
Walk trails. Hike Kennesaw mountain. Learn about history. The park is open daily. Typically sunrise to sunset. There are miles of trails you can walk. At different times of year, you’ll also see wildlife. Pets are welcome at Kennesaw National Battlefield Park, but please clean up after your pet and always keep them on leash.
Helen, GA
In a drive that will take you less than 2 hours from Marietta, you can be in what feels like another world. If you’re visiting, you must check out Helen, GA.
Ghost Tours, Marietta
Walking tour, pub crawl, or bus tours, Marietta has you covered. There’s a well-know Marietta hotspot you may have dined in at one point or another. And it used to serve as a morgue. But, you gotta do the tour to find out more.

Roswell Mill Ruins
Explore the Mills. Roswell Manufacturing Company Mills were constructed in the late 1800s. They were destroyed following the civil war and rebuilt later. On the bank of Vickery Creek, you will find walking trails, a covered bridge, some history and a wonderful photo opportunity.
The bottom line.
Cobb tourists will have no shortage of things to do. Just pick one or two and go. You’ll be glad you did.
